We operate a hybrid working model, so you will benefit from both home and office working, the office being based in Cardiff. Our team are also based in Uxbridge so there maybe occasional travel to our other offices.

If you are an experienced Assistant Accountant or Accounts Payable Clerk looking for the next step in your career, then this could be the perfect role for you. This is a brand-new role within the Financial Control team, where you will be supporting the Assistant Controller with the day to day running of the payable function, month end deliverables, analysis of costs, and supporting the FP&A cost department.

What you will be doing:

  • Working collaboratively within the team to ensure accounts payable functionality is undertaken efficiently and accurately
    • Undertaking detailed analysis of costs incurred to support month end deliverables, investigating and resolving unusual movements/transactions.
    • Preparation of VAT returns, including extraction and analysis of invoices and reconciliation of the control account
    • Analysis of cost accounts to support the statutory reporting requirements
    • Oversee broker commission reconciliation prior to payment, liaising with Revenue team to resolve queries, and confirming payment requirements
    • Overseeing bank reconciliations
    • Complete balance sheet reconciliations for cost-based accounts
    • Assist with customer origination activities to provide backup and support
    • Providing cover for other members of the Finance team
    • Undertake detailed cost analysis to support fee levels or other adhoc requirements
    • Review internal finance procedures; create documentation for new processes as required
    • Reviewing current processes and ensuring appropriate controls are in place

What we are looking for

The ideal candidate will be a newly or part qualified accountant, with extensive experience within accounts payable and accounting. Previous management and financial services  experience is desirable.
