What you will be doing
As our new Head of ALM you will play a leadership role within the Pepper Money Treasury Function and be responsible for the management of all market and liquidity risk issues including analytics, development of management information, stress testing, and hedging strategy in a controlled process driven operating environment.
Leading and developing a high performing ALM Team you will be a seasoned Treasury ambassador, building and managing and building cross-functional relationships including those with Group stakeholders, to ensure appropriate engagement in ALM activity.
You will have a strong, demonstrable working knowledge of the mortgage industry, gained from working within a bank or building society, of market and legal and regulatory developments likely to have an impact on the Firms financing activities and you will be able to confidently monitor, forecast and stress test liquidity and funding Risk in accordance with relevant policies, financing vehicles and risk appetites providing recommendations where necessary. You will be able to demonstrate a strong knowledge and understanding of Capital markets as well as non bank lenders.
Supporting the Treasurer and Director of DCM in the development and delivery of the Annual Treasury Funding Plan you will also ensure the development and execution of new financing vehicles are within prescribed risk appetite and perform stress testing of performance triggers and limits.
Developing and maintaining the Hedging Strategy in accordance with the Market Risk Policy, you will monitor, forecast and stress test Market Risk exposures in accordance with relevant policies, financing vehicles and risk appetites and provide recommendations where necessary.
Other components of your new role will include managing the preparation of the monthly ALCO pack and attendance at ALCO meetings, including secretarial duties and ensuring that ALM policies and procedures remain appropriate and up to date.
Finally, you will have a strong understanding of swaps, derivatives, options, securitisations, and associated funding dynamics.
