Working alongside our Chief Operating Officer, your new role will be integral to aiding the success and development of business strategy and development.

Responding to both known regulation and emergent changes and supporting peer colleagues with analysis, review and recommendations following gap analysis activity, you will provide insight into organisational policies and business cases, influencing key decisions and working closely with the COO on related issues.

Supporting the COO with the preparation of various committee submissions, you will network with business areas including Facilities, HR and Change, developing a robust 360 degree view of key departments and will need to quickly build your commercial awareness, retaining key information from the get go.  You will act as the secretary for the Operational Committee, preparing the committee documents and supporting papers as well as writing robust minutes and ensuring all actions are tracked and closed.

Part of your new role will be the review and tracking of operational  Risk and Compliance actions including the completion of all risk and regulatory dashboards for the COO and their direct reports, undertaking a weekly review of Risk and Compliance actions with a view to working with the action owners to facilitate close as well as providing a weekly report to the COO regarding progress across their span of control.

You will be the representative at relevant forums, including Compliance and Risk, tracking actions to ensure constant communication occurs between the COO teams and relevant support functions.

What we are looking for

Knowledge

  • Developed understanding of the regulatory environment and expectation (specifically regarding MCOB and SYSC)
  • Demonstrable experience and understanding of process improvement deployment alongside proven ability to research, review and author documents and frameworks.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Word, Power Point & Excel is desirable

Competencies

  • Mid-level Management level experience working in a lending environment is essential
  • Significant experience working in a Financial Services industry is essential
  • Proven strong verbal and written skills with the ability to work effectively across teams, building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels

Qualifications

  • CeMAP or ACIB
