Are you our new Quality Assurance Executive?
Working in our fast paced, successful Quality Assurance team there has never been a better time to join Pepper Money, a specialist mortgage lender backed by a global financial institution offering first and second charge loans.
We operate a hybrid working model, so you will benefit from both home and office working, the offices being based in Cardiff, London or Manchester.
This role reports directly to the Assurance Manager whilst working alongside Underwriting and Financial Crime Teams and be responsible for quality assurance reviews on a monthly basis in line with the QA framework and procedures regularly reviewing offers / completions, declines, and FCT cases, as part of Pepper Money’s first line of defence.
You will assist with the collation of reports to share your findings and engage with key stakeholders to ensure the audit findings and results for the team are owned to enable these to be addressed with training or performance management.
You will Identify and suggest improvements and changes to systems, process, and policy, as well as assist with developing and delivering training material to address key trends and areas of improvement.
In addition to the above you will take a proactive approach in providing feedback to individuals, confirming that corrective action is always taken to ensure the best possible customer experience.
You will have excellent attention to detail and some regulatory knowledge as you will proactively assist with the shaping of the Quality Assurance framework ensuring it remains fit for purpose.
You will be a confident communicator liaising with internal stakeholders including peers and senior managers, you will be able to present and influence with confidence and knowledge regarding any risks that are identified and support second line of defence monitoring.
Actively driving and supporting continuous improvements, as well as supporting colleagues by providing feedback and coaching when training needs are identified through quality assurance monitoring and supporting their ongoing performance against the T&C scheme and adherence to internal policies and processes.

What we are looking for
- Mortgage Lending knowledge and experience
- Knowledge of best practice quality assurance practices
- Experience of working in a continuous improvement culture, driving the improvement of the customer experience with focus on the ‘external view’.
- CeMap is desirable.
- Regulatory knowledge, FCA, TCF, MCOB (MMR changes)
- Ability to provide coaching and feedback.
- Strong relationship management skills
- Strong communication skills verbal and written.
- Ability to focus on deadlines and deliverables.
